Achievement and giftedness testing.
A bright student and a struggling one can hand in the same report card, and effort explains neither. Testing measures the two things that actually differ: how a student reasons, and what they have learned. The distance between them is usually where the answer is.
What the evaluation looks at
Cognitive ability across verbal reasoning, nonverbal reasoning, working memory and processing speed, alongside academic achievement in reading, writing and mathematics, each measured against age and grade norms. Neither half means much alone. The finding is in how they compare.
Who it is for
Families seeking gifted identification, and students whose achievement has pulled away from their ability in either direction. It matters most for twice-exceptional profiles, where high ability and a learning disorder or ADHD sit in the same student and each conceals the other: the ability carries the student to average marks, and average marks are what stops anyone looking further.
What you receive
A written report with the scores set out in the form a school expects, a feedback session in plain language, and recommendations for enrichment, acceleration or support depending on what the profile shows. With your consent the report can go to the school.
